In 2012 Kamaldeep founded Malaika Gifts & Interiors in Nakuru, Kenya  targeting tourists, NGO staffers and anyone seeking unusual gifts for weddings and other special occasions.

She works with craftsmen and women to produce high quality, handmade gift items. Her work includes teaching these men and women the necessary skills so that they are able to create these unique products. 

She has a strong belief that the more people she empowers, the more people they can empower. Her work is considered to be part of her contribution to her community. She focuses on growing and developing women as she believes that women are major contributors to the economy of any society. 

She also provides consultation services to salon entrepreneurs.
